Vacuuming to remove loose dirt, dust, and pet hair is essential for keeping your curtains and blinds in top condition. Use a hand-held vacuum with a soft brush attachment and gently clean from top to bottom, keeping the vacuum on a low power setting to protect delicate fabrics and blind surfaces.

For small stains, spot clean with a clean, wet sponge to blot the mark, then lightly dab with mild dish soap or white vinegar.

Light steam cleaning works well to refresh curtains, especially heavier fabrics like blackout curtains. Always work from the top down and avoid over-wetting. For blinds, a soft microfiber cloth is ideal for removing dust and fingerprints without damaging the material.

We take a safety-first approach, so we generally recommend avoiding full washing of curtains as it can cause up to 5% shrinkage. For blinds, never immerse in water to prevent warping or damage to mechanisms.
